If you like the milk rice, but afraid of preservatives, you must made it at home. It's slower than to buy in shop, but so much delicious, and healthy!
I made this dessert with risotto rice, because i love, when it's little bit sticky and thick! And I could not find at home any other rice... Use cream, if you like the thick milkrise. More fattier milk produce more tastier milk rice!
Ingredients ( for 2 persons)
- 20 dkg rice
- 5 dl milk
- 1 dl cream
- 1 tbs cinamon
- 5 tbs brown sugar
Set he sous vide machine to 80 °C (175 F). Put the dry ingredients (rice, cinnamon, brown sugar) into cooking bag or plast bag, and pour the cream and milk. This time, the milk, the rice, and the cinnamons forming a layer in the bag. No problem! Just shake thoroughly! Put the bag, into the sous vide bath.
It is worth to repeating the shake procedure, but be aware that the bag is very hot!
After 2,5 hours, check the softness of the rice. If it's soft, and the rice absorved the larger part of the liquid, it's done! My rice reached the appropriate state after 3 hours.
Take the bag from home water, and place it on a plate for 10 - 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the rice absorbs more liquid, and cools down.
if you think it's too much time, I would like to say that there's no baked-on dishes, the rice grains are perfectly cooked, but retains their shapes. And last, the taste of the cinnamon absorved all the rice grains, therefore, each spoon is a perfect tast, in your mouth!
